Residential aged care workers and residents are among the first people who can choose to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. This is part of the first phase (Phase 1a) of Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine national roll-out strategy.
The first phase of the vaccine roll-out begins from late February 2021.
Workers in community and in-home aged care will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations in Phase 1b along with other health care workers.
People receiving Commonwealth-funded home and community aged care will be able to access vaccination through vaccination clinics or GP practices as they meet priority eligibility.
All families have received detailed information about the Covid-19 and flu vaccinations including permission forms. These are also available below.
Residents have also attended a screening of the OPAN (Older Person Advocacy Network) video.
